Refugees like Ali. After escaping Afghanistan in 2022 after the Taliban took control of his home country, Ali resettled in Lowell. IINE staff moved him into a fully-furnished apartment, made sure he had access to food and healthcare, and helped him get an entry-level job in medical manufacturing. But the support didn't end there. When Ali realized he would need an engineering degree to advance in his career, his IINE Career Navigator, Ashley, helped him transfer his credits from his Afghan university, create a resume, and prepare his application materials.
Three years after his arrival, Ali is pursuing his master's degree at Tufts University, while balancing working at a large biotech company and helping fellow Afghan refugees at IINE whenever he can.
