Refugees and Immigrants in
New England
Need Your Support
Your gift helps refugees and immigrants find healing, belonging, and a path forward in our communities.

When you give to the International Institute of New England, you help refugees like Mustafa achieve their dreams.
Mustafa had completed graduate school and had just begun his training to become an OB-GYN when civil war erupted in Sudan. Suddenly, his entire life was upended.
Thankfully, through the U.S. Refugee Program, he was able to escape the violence. In New Hampshire, Mustafa found housing, strengthened his language skills, and found a path forward with help from IINE.
Two years later, he has passed the first two parts of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination. His goal is to complete a residency program and continue the path toward becoming an OB-GYN. In the meantime, Mustafa is already giving back. He works at a nonprofit, supporting children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
“I didn’t know much about America [before I came here], but now I love this country...Even though I didn’t get my citizenship yet, I’m saying to people, ‘I am American.’”
It's compassionate people like you who help make stories like Mustafa’s possible. Thank you.
